OPRA is a European non-profit with a simple purpose: to honor the people who put themselves at risk to protect others.
We partner with leading businesses across Europe to provide exclusive discounts to military personnel, veterans, first responders and rescue workers. For our members, it's meaningful recognition and real savings. For our partners, it's a chance to stand behind the people who keep their communities safe.
We believe those who serve deserve more than a passing thank-you. OPRA turns gratitude into something lasting — a network of businesses and individuals united by respect for the people who show up when it matters most.

OPRA membership is free.
Some of our partners contribute to our running costs through paid promotion or a commission on purchases made through OPRA.

Alternative verification
For Armed Forces and Police personnel, there is a recommended verification method that doesn't require uploading documents.
Privacy and security
OPRA will never ask you for information such as your name, address, age, gender, phone number, employer, national identity number or payment details.
- Only your email address is stored – on encrypted servers
- Uploaded documents are deleted immediately after approval
- OPRA follows GDPR and applicable national requirements

OPRA is a non-profit limited company, registered in the Norwegian Register of Non-Profit Organisations. OPRA is run by serving personnel and one of Norway's foremost developers in their spare time.
Eric Lein
Team leader
Background in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as an F-16 fighter pilot and AW101 search and rescue helicopter pilot. Now works at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.
Kristofer Giltvedt Selbekk
Developer
Head of Frontend Development at one of Norway's largest IT companies. Works on OPRA entirely in his spare time, as a way of giving something back to those who serve.
Sissel Espedal
Head negotiator
Background in police negotiation and a degree in law enforcement.
OPRA Honor Fund
Our communities depend on everyday heroes — people who consistently give far more than anyone could reasonably ask of them. To honor that effort, OPRA has established the OPRA Honor Fund.
Each year we present the Valor Spear, a specially commissioned statuette, along with a grant of NOK 15,000, to one frontline worker who has shown extraordinary courage, compassion or dedication.
Donations from the fund
2025: NOK 15,000 donated to the family of Adrian Willyson Brask.
2025: NOK 10,000 donated to the family of Markus Botnen.
The total amount donated will vary based on the funds available at the time of the donation.
